We offer many services to new Muslims such as educational programs to help them understand and practice Islam, counseling services to help them overcome any personal problem.<br /><br />A New Muslim needs some help and support to understand and practice Islam gradually based on the priorities that set up by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. We provide free, good quality, easy to understand set of multimedia books and files to help the New Muslim.<br /><br />Our team understand the essential services required to guide New Muslims step by step to overcome any problem they may face to understand Islam and to be successfully part of the local Muslim community.</p>

<h2><strong>What do we do?</strong></h2>
<p>Our initial response is to offer our welcome pack containing useful information, all based on the Quran &amp; the Sunnah, with the aim of easing the New Muslim into the everyday life of a Muslim.<br /><br />Secondly we assess what additional support the new Muslim needs &amp; find solutions, sometimes through our partner groups, to resolve these issues to the best of our ability. Although our team members are predominantly based in the major cities we have the ability to remotely aid new Muslims anywhere in Australia.</p>

<p>As some of our team are reverts themselves they explain it as &ldquo;once the takbir &amp; hugs have finished, life for a new Muslim can be very lonely, daunting, frustrating, confusing &amp; difficult&rdquo;. <br /><br />We aim to remove all these so a &lsquo;new&rsquo; Muslim can concentrate on the importance of getting to know their Creator &amp; becoming the best Muslim they can be.</p>

<h1>The Importance Of Seeking Knowledge</h1>
<div>Acquiring Islamic knowledge is vital to every Muslim. Clearly knowledge must precede action, since it is the bases by which one knows his/her obligations to Allah. Knowledge will enable you to practice your religious duties correctly, be aware of things which Allah made halal (permissible) and haram (forbidden), in that way you will conduct your life according to Allah&rsquo;s guidance.<br /><br /></div>
<h1>How Can You Do This?</h1>
<div>There are many resources available to learn. There is a multitude of Islamic books, articles, and websites&nbsp; which address important topics and can give you a good start, however to learn correctly you need to do so at the hands of a practicing Muslim. Just like you can&rsquo;t expect to be a good sports player by simply reading a book or two about it, you can&rsquo;t expect to learn the various branches of Islam all alone; you need to practice it with other Muslims. Naturally to do so, you should frequently visit the mosque in your area.<br /><br />

<h1>The Importance Of The Mosque (Masjid)</h1>
<div>The mosque plays a central role in Muslim society. Apart from being a place of prayers (the 5 daily prayers as well as the Friday prayer) the Mosque is a learning centre. It&rsquo;s a place where study circles and lectures are held for Muslims to learn more about Islam. Also a place where Muslims meet to study and recite the Quran, collect charity for the poor, and discuss issues concerning the community. It&rsquo;s an ideal place for a new convert to meet Muslims and learn in a short time what would normally take weeks or months to learn alone. Naturally many new converts are shy or afraid to make their first visit to the mosque, but if they knew the joy which Muslims share when they meet a convert, such hesitation would disappear. Also, don&rsquo;t worry about not doing everything perfectly from the start, no one expects a new Muslim to learn everything overnight. We strongly encourage you to do your best to enroll in the study circles in your local mosque or fix a weekly schedule with the Imam to teach you all you need to know.</div>

<p><strong>HOW TO BECOME A MUSLIM?</strong></p>
<p>To convert to Islam and become a Muslim, a person needs to pronounce the below testimony (shahada) with conviction and understanding its meaning &ndash; with other Muslim&rsquo;s present:</p>
<p>&ldquo;Ash hadu Anla ilaha Illa Allah&hellip;Wa Ash hadu Anna Muhammad Rasool Allah.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&ldquo;I bear witness that there is no God worthy to be worshiped but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.&rdquo; (Translation in English).</p>
<p>When someone pronounces the testimony with conviction, then he/she becomes a Muslim.</p>

<p><strong>The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains</strong>. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing. (Al Baqara: 261)</p>
